We’re the Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Executive, and we work to create and maintain better public transport networks for people across the region.

Over 90% of our apprentices move into a higher apprenticeship or full employment on completion

You’ll gain the skills, knowledge and qualifications you need for a particular job. You’ll be employed by us while you’re learning, we’ll meet all of your apprenticeship training costs, and you’ll get paid.

As an apprentice with us, you’ll

• Earn a wage not less than the minimum wage for an apprentice
• Follow a structured training programme – either an Apprenticeship Standard or Apprenticeship Framework
• Receive on and off the job training
• Develop your skills to ensure you can do the job well

You’ll undertake your programme during your normal work time, and we’ll release you to study as part of your paid time at work (we’ll expect you to continue your studies outside of work). While the programme can be demanding, it’s also extremely rewarding and career progression is excellent.
